In a thrilling display of talent and determination, members of Aequus Archers triumphed at the Derbyshire County Archery Association (DCAA) indoor county championships, held at Derwent Bowmen on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Competing among the county's finest were Aimee Gascoyne, Baptiste Fabris, Vincent Fabris and Sandrine Fabris, each clinching impressive placements in their respective categories. Aimee secured a commanding victory in the ladies' compound division for the third year in a row with a stellar score of 570. Baptiste showcased his skill in the junior gents compound category, securing a solid second place with a score of 452 at his first competition shooting compound having only switched bow type in September. Not to be outdone, Sandrine claimed second place in the ladies' barebow category with an impressive score of 460. Vincent scored a fantastic 530, placing fifth in the county 50+ gents recurve.
Aequus Archers extends heartfelt gratitude to all involved in organising yet another successful DCAA event, and to Derwent Bowmen for their continued hospitality in hosting the championships.
